Jordan Henegar
Pickleball CoachJordan was born and raised in a Chico sports family, played basketball and baseball for Chico High, and later played college basketball at Fresno City College.
He found pickleball during the pandemic, and was immediately hooked with a determination to get better and rise the ranks to compete with the area’s best players.
He is now a 5.3 DUPR rated player, co-founder of the Joola Valley Open tournament, and has years of experience and success at some of the highest-level tournaments on the West Coast. He’s excited to start sharing what he has learned and how he got to that level!
What he’s offering: Intermediate/ Advanced lessons. Jordan wants players who already have at least some experience and knowledge of the game, have a strong desire to take their game to the next level, and are willing to put in the work to do so.
Things he can coach or help you with:
- How to elevate your overall game, and thus your rating. He will identify your main weaknesses and make you a more balanced and versatile player.
- How to warm up properly, and which drills help the most for rapid improvement.
- The mental game. How to think like a 5.0+ player, and what it takes to compete at that level.
- Paddle selection and modification: Where and why to put weighted tape on your paddle, which paddle would best suit your game, how to modify your handle and grip exactly to your liking, etc.
- Video analyzing. Send him some game footage and he can analyze your game to identify the main routes for growth.
He looks forward to working with you! And is a firm believer that the better you get at pickleball, the better games and rallies you will get into, along with getting a better workout and having more fun in the process.
