Chico Pickle & Pong would like to introduce you to Erin O’Neil, our newly hired General Manager!
He was born and raised here in Chico, California. In his youth, he learned to play ping pong in his family garage and pickleball in high school gym class. His passion for both sports grew as he played them every chance he got throughout college, his international travels, and all his adult life. They were not just sports or pastimes to him, they were a means to make friends, exercise, and feel alive!
Erin started a weekly ping pong club called Chico Table Tennis 14 years ago and has been running it ever since. He has been playing pickleball in Chico since they first built outdoor courts and even won a gold medal in Chico’s first pickleball tournament. For the last six years, he has been serving Chico’s unhoused population as both a volunteer and a youth social worker.
As a General Manager, he will bring his passion for sports, love for helping others learn to play, hard work, creativity, communication/people skills, and a love for seeing his hometown engaging in healthy, fun recreation!
If you have ever played with him or already know him from other places, you know that he always has fun, especially when he sees others having fun too. If you do not know him, you can find him on Facebook, Instagram, a ping pong table, or a pickleball court near you.
Please join us in welcoming him to team Chico Pickle & Pong!
