Daniel grew up in the Washington D.C. area playing basketball, running track, and playing football, ping pong, and whatever other sports he could find with his two older brothers. He first discovered pickleball in middle school when he and his good friend won their gym class tournament!
It would be decades later and thousands of miles away when he would once again find pickleball. In 2021, needing a night off from basketball, a friend invited him to play, and within minutes, he was hooked. His passion and dedication have grown and grown to the point where he now has an online and in-store pickleball business- House of Pickle (located inside Chico Pickle and Pong!) He plays and competes as much as he can while still balancing home life with his wonderful wife and two little children (future mixed doubles champions we hope).
Daniel absolutely loves the strategic aspect of the game. He doesn’t hit the hardest or have all the textbook fundamental strokes (see Chelsea Hall for that), but competes at a high level by thinking the game and making adjustments on the fly and in practice to maximize his and his partners’ abilities. Shot selection, timing, court placement, tournament strategy, knowledge of equipment, and communication are some of his specialties.
Daniel likes working with players of all levels to maximize and develop their abilities while unlocking key strategies that have real-world impact on fun, success, and winning. He can’t wait to see you out on the court!
